the labor shed

Creators

The Labor Shed is a simple group of people who discovered that they constantly consulted each other on their various life projects. After doing this for a while, they decided, “Why not turn this simple collaboration of ideas into a complex, laborious process involving tax numbers, joint bank accounts, statements of purpose and acres of paperwork?”

April

April Lintz

April is a graduate of Texas Christian University. She received her BFA in Art Education with an emphasis in painting in the fall of 2005. She is currently an art teacher at Versia L. Williams Elementary School in Fort Worth, TX. When she is not teaching she is dreaming about the summer when she will have more time to paint. April is very interested in science and technology and uses these as themes in her art. April’s dream job would be making art that would help people understand science.

Jeremy

Jeremy Lintz

Jeremy is a “classically trained” graphic designer (meaning that he did his first graphic design work on a Mac Classic). Currently, he heads up The Labor Shed’s Brooklyn office and keeps busy working with local magazines and arts organizations, attending dance performances with/by his lovely wife, and hunting down the best pizza slice in the city. (The winner so far, 99¢ a slice, across from the Port Authority.)
